championing dignified emergency accommodation at Housing 2025
We were pleased to exhibit at Housing 2025 this summer, the UK’s largest housing-focused event, where we showcased our work on emergency and transitional accommodation for people at risk of homelessness or rough sleeping.
Our exhibition stand featured full-scale examples and detailed CGIs of our new range of high-performance emergency shelters. These compact, warm, and secure units are designed to be rapidly deployable, providing immediate, dignified accommodation for individuals who urgently need somewhere safe to stay.
We’ve developed these homes using our panelised timber system, which is not only low-carbon and breathable but also designed for speed, durability, and flexibility. Whether used as a stepping-stone into long-term housing or a safer alternative to rough sleeping, our shelters are built to meet real human needs — and to do so without delay.
It was fantastic to welcome Sam and Maisie from Our Studio to the stand, who helped bring the project to life through the beautifully rendered CGIs. As Sam shared some startling statistics about the rising levels of homelessness across the UK, it reminded us just how urgent this work is… and how much more still needs to be done.
While we had overwhelmingly positive feedback from individuals, professionals, and organisations working on the frontline of homelessness, it was disappointing to see so few local authorities engage seriously with what we’re offering.
We understand that housing solutions aren’t simple, but we’re confident that high-quality transitional homes, delivered with speed and care, must be part of the answer.
We’ll always advocate for Housing First as a long-term strategy. But we also need practical, deliverable alternatives, solutions that can be rolled out now, not in five years' time. The systems, materials, and experience already exist. What’s needed is the political will to act.
If you're a housing provider, council, or charity looking to explore our modular shelters, whether for emergency, transitional, or supported accommodation, we’d love to hear from you…!!
